Changing the world -- it's child's play. And it's your child's play when you enroll him or her in Compassionate Kids. For 4 weeks, author/instructor Karen Jones will email -- to the email address you designate, be it yours or your child's -- simple actions that he or she can take (in the course of a single day, at no cost) to make a difference in the community and the world. Imagine your child's sense of empowerment and delight as he or she takes direct steps to relieve hunger, improve race relations, promote peace, care for animals and more. These experiences are bound to affect how your young altruist behaves in other arenas, in school and with friends, and may even inspire a lifetime of humanitarian practice. Compassionate Kids invites your child to make an impact within 12 different issues over the course of 4 weeks. Each Monday, you'll receive an email with: • 3 simple actions, geared to your child's age group*, to complete during that week (or whenever the time seems right). • A link to a "free click donation" website, where your child can simply click a button -- every day if he or she likes -- which prompts the site's sponsors to donate funds to a worthy cause. • A suggested book -- again, geared to your child's age -- that teaches compassion. Kids will use letter-writing, art projects, online games, reading, quizzes, creative play and more to make their mark on poverty, the environment, elder citizens, homeless people and more. Your child will come to associate helping others with fun as well as pride. Start your child on a purposeful path that welcomes his or her contribution to a brighter future. Sign up for Compassionate Kids, and watch your child grow into an Everyday Altruist! * Age groups are 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13. You may switch your child's age group at no charge if the first three actions you receive indicate that your child might be better suited to a different age group.
